Robbie + Amy = Married

Although we went to high school together, I officially met Robbie about 2 years ago when I joined his co-ed soccer team. He is such a fun guy to be around. He is so outgoing and friendly and is always making people laugh! When I first met his fiance Amy, I thought she was super shy and quiet. However, after a few meetings together, I quickly learned that I was mistaken! She is a little firecracker! She is the perfect compliment to Robbie.
Their wedding ceremony took place on July 10th at Ocean Hills Church in San Juan Capistrano. Unfortunately, I couldn't watch the ceremony since I had to go set-up the reception. But I got to catch a peak of the bride before she waked down the aisle and she was absolutely GORGEOUS!!Their reception followed at Pacific Hills Banquet & Catering in Laguna Hills. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the venue for the first time. The walls were lit up by pink uplights and there was a pretty white swag draping across the ceiling. Glass bowls with rocks and pink votive candles lit up the guests' tables. The dance floor was packed the whole night thanks to DJ Flo Maracine. The photographer was Jeff Wallace, who is also a friend of mine that I play soccer with. He did an amazing job and I can't wait to see the rest of their pictures!

Since Robbie owns his own printing company, he and Amy designed shirts to hand out as favors to their guests. The guests loved them! In fact, so many of them couldn't wait until they got home so they put their shirt on over their suites and dresses. The dance floor became a sea of white t-shirts sporting "Rathburn 09" on the back. It was awesome!

Their wedding was a blast to coordinate! I am so thankful I was able to be a part of their big day. Thank you Robbie and Amy for trusting me to, in your words, "do what I do". You have such amazing families and friends. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Rathburn!

Newest Member of the Family

Last night, my husband I got a new puppy - a 4 month old female Boston Terrier we named Charlee. She's the cutest little thing! We brought her home and she had so much fun playing with her new toys and running around the apartment. Jana and Brian came over to play with her and so did my brother and his girlfriend. We gave Charlee her first bath in the tub. She did so good! She tried to drink her bath water...it was so cute!

We expected to be up all night hearing her cry but to our amazement, she slept through the entire night without so much as a peep! She laid on her little brown and pink bed we bought her and slept like a baby! We are lucky we made it through the first night without her crying. We are crossing our fingers that she will repeat her behavior the next few weeks!

Welcome to the family little Charlee! We love you so much already!

Weekend with Nicole

This weekend I got to hang out with one of my closest friends...Nicole (otherwise known as Nic to me). We spent the day Saturday in Balboa. We laid out on the beach, got lunch, did a little window shopping and of course...got frozen bananas. Saturday night, the two of us went Kevin's 40th surprise party at my friend Amber's house. It was a ton of fun! Amber and Claudia did such a great job hosting the party! After the party, Nic and I had a sleepover at her house with the two dogs. It was awesome...four girls in one room!

Sunday, Nicole and I went to breakfast with my family at Coyote Grill in Laguna to celebrate my brother Ryan's 23rd birthday. After breakfast, we went to Ryan's girlfriend's house in Newport and went to the beach. We spent about two hours laying by the bay and it was absolutely beautiful out! We watched all the boats go by while listening to music and flipping through magazines. After the beach, we went to a friend's house for a bbq. Nic and I made the dessert...homemade donuts! They were so yummy!

Thanks for being my date for the weekend Nic...I loved every minute of it!
